My education and professional life have taken a circuitous route. I have a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of New Haven, a law degree from Quinnipiac University and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Although I began my career in business, for the past 14 years my focus has been on counseling and coaching, while developing a speciality in anger management. During these years I had a private psychotherapy practice in San Francisco where I began helping clients learn how to copoe more effectively with their anger. As a result of this work I saw that clients' lives often improved more than they thought possible.
Having relocated to Connecticut in 2007, in 2008 I started Transitions Life Coaching to meet the demand for anger management services. In 2010 I changed my company's name to Reworking Anger to more accurately reflect the work that I do. My broad education and diverse experience enable me to work with a wide range of clients, including those seeking anger management help on their own, as well as those who are referred by courts, mental health professionals, and employers. I enjoy working with individuals and groups, and offer teleclasses and presentations iin a variety of settings on anger-related topics. I am also the author of Anger: Let the Tiger Out, But Keep It on a Leash.
I am a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, a Diplomat member of the American Association of Anger Management Providers, and a member of the American Association of University Women and the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
My passion for life, combined with my compassion for people, enables me to work well with clients, helping them to understand the importance of effective anger management skills within their families, in their workplaces and in their communities.
